For Sale: 1925 Pierce-Arrow 80 in Newberg, Oregon for sale in Newberg, OR

Vehicle Description Located near PORTLAND, OREGON.
This 1925 Pierce-Arrow Model 80 Sedan was purchased out of an Oregon barn in 1959 by a collector who set out on a full, multi-year restoration in the early 1960's.
The car was in good original condition when found (see last photo, below, taken in 1959), and the restoration brought it back to its former glory.
Body was painted in lacquer.
Upholstery replaced in correct wool.
Engine rebuilt.
Following completion, the car was regularly toured and enjoyed by the owner and his family over the next 50
years.
By the late 1990's, due to the owner's age and a failure of the gas tank, he stopped driving it.
This Pierce was always garaged and remained so following his passing in 2019.
Recently, it was removed from the garage and Charvet Classic Cars commissioned a mechanical refreshing of the car to get it back on the road again.
Rather than attempting to restore the nearly 100-year old failed gas tank, a new, modern 10 gallon fuel cell was fitted in the accessory trunk at the rear of the car.
Coupled to a new 6 volt electric fuel pump, it delivers constant pressure and flow to the engine.
After a tune-up and fluid change, the 289 cubic inch, 6 cylinder engine fired off easily and runs smoothly and quietly, just as it did when it came from the factory 96 years ago.
Good oil pressure.
No smoke or noises.
I have personally driven this car and it drives without fault.
Plenty of power.
Rated at 70 horsepower.
3-speed manual (non-synchro) transmission shifts firmly.
Runs cool.
Wooden spoked wheels are tight with no wobble.
Older tires are in good condition.
Mechanical brakes are adjusted properly and stop very well.
The amp gauge and oil pressure gauge work.
We noted the speedometer and odometer are not working at present.
Working turn signals added for safety in modern traffic.
Headlights and taillight work.
Working Motometer.
PLEASE SEE VIDEO OF ENGINE RUNNING.
The condition of the body and paint is spectacular.
The wood-framed, aluminum body is solid and straight with no flex or rot.
The doors hang properly and close securely at a touch, like a bank vault.
The 60 year-old maroon and black lacquer is brilliant with no signs of cracking or checking.
It shows beautifully today with a deep shine.
Nickel plating on the radiator shell and trim is excellent.
The interior, again restored 60 years ago, show nicely today with only a few spots of wear noted from a couple of moths.
These spots are barely noticeable and do not detract from the overall upholstery.
The fabric is smooth and soft, and not musty.
All glass is good.
Clear with no discoloration or damage.
All windows operate easily.
PLEASE SEE PHOTOS THAT WERE JUST TAKEN FOR THIS LISTING AND SHOW CURRENT CONDITION.
This is a beautifully preserved, proven tour car that presents wonderfully.
It is ready for the next 100 years ahead.
Sale includes an assortment of rare spare Pierce parts specifically for this car.
If you have read this far, you know the quality and rarity of Pierce-Arrows.
In 1925, this car sold new for about $4,000 (when you could buy a Model T for $265 or a new house for $1,500!) There is little to add.
This is a good one and you won't be disappointed.
WE WILL HAPPILY SELL TO BIDDERS WORLDWIDE AND CAN ASSIST WITH SHIPPING ANYWHERE.
Price:
$27,500 negotiable.
