Vehicle Description 1930 Lincoln L Dual Cowl Sport Phaeton.
Ex-Harrah Collection.
Located near PORTLAND, OREGON.
Only offered for 2 years (1929 & 1930), this Lincoln L Model 176B Dual Cowl Sport Phaeton is car #70 of just 90 that were built in 1930.
While the early history is unknown, this car was acquired in 1956 by William Bill Harrah, who added it to his famous Harrah's Auto Collection in Sparks, Nevada.
The original Lincoln aluminum body had received a repaint in correct Brewster Green sometime prior to Harrah's purchase, and it is believed that the only work Harrah did to the car was cosmetic - reupholstering the front and rear seats in correct green leather and replacing the canvas top in 1956.
The remainder of the interior - the door panels, carpets, wood and metal trim, remained original, as they do to this day.
This car remained in the Harrah collection until Harrah's passing and it, along with most of the collection, was auctioned off in 1984.
It was purchased by a lady doctor who drove and enjoyed it for many years until it was sold in the 2000's to a gentleman in Alaska.
In 2008, it was acquired by the current owner in Oregon.
With 77,468 miles on the odometer, the engine was tired, so the current owner had a complete professional rebuild of the engine by a mechanic who had formerly worked for the renowned Hill and Vaughn shop in Los Angeles.
Along with the engine and drivetrain, all related components including starter, generator, carburetor, fuel system, gas tank, radiator and more were rebuilt - the goal being to make a reliable tour car.
While disassembled, the steel fenders were repainted in correct black.
The chassis was restored and painted and the radiator shell was re-chromed.
The 6 wire wheels were powder coated in straw yellow and fitted with newer tires.
Since re-assembly the car now has less than 20 miles added to the odometer.
It is dialed-in and ready to enjoy.
